San Francisco Flower and Garden Show 2024

An ASLA student chapter project. Our team took home a bronze medal and the Association of Professional Landscape Designers award for excellence. The concept was "Subsume" (the absorption of nutrients from one material to another) and celebration of California's new state mushroom, the California Golden Chanterelle. These elements are demonstrated through the chanterelle statues and the demonstration garden of a native oak woodland, which grows symbiotically with the golden chanterelle.

My contributions included the overall concept and design theme, the design of the chanterelle statues, and the design/construction of the benches. I also spent a week in San Francisco, supervising and assisting in installing all design elements.
